RONALD FEATURED IN THE INTERNATIONAL TENNIS HALL OF FAME “Breaking Boundaries in Black Tennis”

“Putting achievements in their proper perspective is often challenging, but always rewarding, and, especially so, when breaking boundaries is factored into the equation. Breaking Boundaries in Black Tennis tells a story of the accomplishments of the first determined Black athletes who dared to compete in tennis tournaments which had banned their entry as well as those who today are enjoying the fruits of their success”. In 1987, Ronald made history in Basel, Switzerland, by playing against Frenchman Yannick Noah in what would be the first ATP World Tour final between two men of color in the history of professional tennis. 

RONALD FEATURED IN THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL 

Ronald was featured in the National Geographic Channel in the Season 1 Episode 4 “Rocky The Dog and the Vintage Racquets” of the TV show “Inside Airport Lost & Found”. The segment “Vintage Racquets” is about Ronald losing his tennis racquets (Wilson T2000) at the Los Angeles International Airport while changing terminals upon his return from coaching at the Australian Open and recovering them a couple of weeks later. The show takes an inside look at the efforts of airport investigators, reuniting countless of travelers with surprising and odd assortments of misplaced and forgotten items. The episode is also available on Hulu and the Disney Channel. 

RONALD FEATURED IN FRANCE TENNIS MAGAZINE JUNE 2024

A 4 page long Ronald interview given to Fabrice David (Senior reporter at TF1) is featured in the Tennis de France Magazine Roland Garros 2024 issue. The magazine is  available on all newsstands in France and also digital version. Ronald talks about his strong links with the Aquitaineregion and in particular, Bordeaux where he arrived at the age of 14 years old.  Bordeaux is where he became a man and above all a high-level player with a career that lasted 19 years that took him to the 22 world ranking.
