US OPEN 2018 WINNERS: NOVAK DJOKOVIC & NAOMI OSAKA

A little bit of the men’s final...

“It was business as usual for Novak Djokovic at the US Open 2018 just like at Wimbledon earlier this year, and with Federer, Warwincka, Murray, and Nadal out of the way there was no one to match his game. The Djoker is back to his normal winning ways that got him to win 13 Grand Slams previously and now 14 with this one. Back to the roots with his old coach, former ATP player Marian Vajda, (they won a few Grand Slams together), it is no more “Mr Peace & Love” on the court but “Mr Seek & Destroy”. The rest is history and if the other top players don’t wake up, the Djoker could win all 4 Grand Slams in 2019. As for Del Potro, one can only admire his accomplishments during the past 2 years. It takes a lot of heart and hard work to get back at this level after so many injuries, but unfortunately this was not enough to win another US Open. Could have/should have used constant firepower to beat the Djoker instead of blasting his huge forehand only from time to time. The “Puma” is the pride of Argentina and if he can bring more intensity in his game and improve his footwork he will be a Grand Slam contender in 2019. He can always practice and improve his footwork at the pace of Carlos Gardel’s Tango sounds during the off season! Cestitam Djokovic and Vamos Delpo! ✌️RA

And on the women's side...

Tough final for Serena, she had 4 opponents during the US Open final: Naomi Osaka, who had an insane level of play and mental game; the umpire who was an idiot to give a coaching violation assorted with a point, then a game penalty, (he must have been tipped before the match); her coach who was a distraction during the match, making obvious coaching signs; and finally Serena herself, she already lost to Osaka at Key Biscayne this year and should have been better prepared strategy wise for this match, had also 2 doubles faults in a row at the worst time of the match, and was not able to keep her composure. That was way too much for mom Serena to handle yesterday. But make no mistake, Osaka is the future of tennis and playing like she did, she might dominate the game for the years to come. However Serena will remain the greatest player of all time and with better strategy and a better fitness level, she might still be able to win a few more Grand Slams. As for Osaka, she was the best player during this US Open 2018, and made history by being the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam (as opposed to being the 1st Haitian, her dad being from Haiti) and one can only admire her amazing accomplishment. Australian Open 2019 will be exciting! Sayanaura! ✌️RA
